Weekend Coffee Share is a time for us to take a break out of our lives and enjoy some time catching up with friends (old and new)!

Grab a cup of coffee and share with us! What’s been going on in your life? What are your weekend plans? Is there a topic you’ve just been ruminating on that you want to talk about?

All are welcome! Just add your link to the Linky-List, and be sure to visit others and join in their conversations! The link will be open from Friday, February 8th at 7am (Pacific Time) until Monday, February 11th at 7am (Pacific Time) to give us a good range of “weekend”!

*********************************

If we were having coffee, I would be drinking hot tea because the temperatures have dropped a lot. You may have coffee or tea, whichever you prefer.

I am actually cold today. Last night dropped to 43 degrees F and tonight it is supposed to drop to 49 and right now it is 52. That was a quick change in temperatures. From 90 plus on Wednesday.

I got my own new walker through my insurance. I stopped taking the Lyrica out of a hunch and the pain is slowly decreasing. I would hate to think I suffered all these months and it was one of my medications. It is the one for the Fibromyalgia. It was the last one available for Fibromyalgia that I hadn’t tried. I also gained a lot of weight which is why my doctor wouldn’t try it. I am already overweight and so these extra 25 pounds weren’t good. I bought larger clothes and they are tight now.

My breathing problems are still problematic.  It is hard to sleep when you feel as if you can’t breathe. I am working on remembering to take the treatments twice a day as recommended.

I would also tell you that Sunday is usually brunch with my BFF. Since they have increased the prices on the weekend, we are going on Monday instead. We probably won’t have the same waitress or waiter.

Time for a breathing treatment as it is almost time for bed and I want to be able to sleep.

Enjoy your week coming up.

If we were having coffee, I would be drinking iced tea because I hate coffee and it’s still hot. You may have coffee or tea, whichever you prefer.

It is hot enough again to have the ac on. I do have the fans in the bedroom running because I like it cool when I sleep.

My pain is becoming much, much worse. I don’t know what to do. I can barely walk and my knees are terrible. I may have to resort to a walker non-stop. I would hate to have to use a wheelchair. I still drive, I have to and getting around with walkers and/or a wheelchair would be difficult while driving, but no one to drive me.

My breathing problems are still problematic.  It is hard to sleep when you feel as if you can’t breathe.

My writing has slowed down some and I added a new possible project or projects as I have several book ideas and I haven’t finished the memoir my life as a military wife. Chapter 4 is up now. I am spending so much time sleeping that there isn’t time for anything else.

I would also tell you that Sunday is still brunch with my BFF. We meet every Sunday including this morning unless something comes up, which isn’t often. I look forward to it. We go to a place called Friendly’s. I don’t know how far they go across the USA. Maybe just NJ and PA for sure. They have had a half-off breakfast 7 days a week for years now trying to stay in business and when we went today, they changed their menu and there it was half off only Monday to Friday. We had to cut down on what we normally order and people were walking out after seeing there was no more half-off breakfast on the weekends. We could have told them that. Even the wait staff don’t expect it to last long. Most of these restaurants have closed already and the few left have cut down on the amount off.

We found a new food pantry that lets you select your food, so we don’t have to lug all that stuff home and deliver 3/4 of it to the community table downstairs. I drive my neighbor and he lugs it all.

Time for a breathing treatment as it is almost time for bed and I want to be able to sleep.

Enjoy your weekend.

If we were having coffee, I would be drinking iced tea because I hate coffee and it’s still hot. My broken air conditioner has finally been replaced. You may have coffee or tea, whichever you prefer.

It is actually cool enough to have the ac off and the window is closed. I do have the fans in the bedroom running because I like it cool when I sleep.

The apartment complex is doing something to the parking lot and it is super confusing and no one knows what is going on or where we can or can’t park. I am really stressed out about it all.

My breathing problems are easier. Still bad, but not as bad.

My writing has slowed down some and I added a new possible project. I am spending so much time sleeping that there isn’t time for anything else.

If we were having coffee, I would be drinking iced tea because I hate coffee and can’t stand this heat. The heat is really acting up with my asthma and now my air conditioner has broken down and it is still hot and I can’t take the heat. I have a repairman coming on September 9th. You may have coffee or tea, whichever you prefer.

I got a chance to see my dad thanks to my sister. She said if I could make it to the lobby she would bring my dad down. I did, she did and we had a nice visit.

My breathing problems are easier. Still bad, but not as bad.

I would also tell you that Sunday is still brunch with my BFF. We meet every Sunday including this morning unless something comes up, which isn’t often. I look forward to it. Although we did meet my friend had a car accident on the way to the restaurant. She wasn’t hurt thankfully and the car had minor damage.

Enjoy your weekend.

If we were having coffee, I would be drinking iced tea because I hate coffee and can’t stand this heat. The heat is really acting up with my asthma. You may have coffee or tea, whichever you prefer.

If we were having coffee or tea I would tell you that I am not sure if the Lyrica is working or not. My pulmonary doctor feels that my sleep problem is my sleep apnea, which it could be, who knows. That’s the problem. Nobody knows anything. Really, doctors know very little and each specialty claims the problems are due to their particular specialty. I am tired of it all. I am in constant pain, always sleeping and hate my life.

I can’t see my father in the long term facility (he had a stroke over a year ago) because of the pain, the breathing problem and constant need to sleep. They have him in the very farthest area in there and there is a huge parking area to get to the front door.

My breathing problems are easier. Still bad, but not as bad. So it is only asthma.

I would also tell you that Sunday is still brunch with my BFF. We meet every Sunday including this morning unless something comes up, which isn’t often. I look forward to it. Something came up, the elevators, both of them, were down again at the same time. We ended up going on Monday instead.

Enjoy your weekend.

If we were having coffee or tea I would tell you that the Lyrica is no longer working. I am starting to drop into a sudden deep sleep at just any time without warning again. The pain in my knees is also bad again and I am having trouble getting out of a chair.

My breathing problems are easier. My doctor says it is not COPD thank God. I have to continue the breathing treatments twice a day. Albuterol only when necessary. So is only asthma.

I am going to break my memoir down into 4 pieces rather than 1 large marriage one. My childhood, my life as a military wife only, my life as a civilian wife and then my current life after the divorce.

I would also tell you that Sunday is still brunch with my BFF. We meet every Sunday including this morning unless something comes up, which isn’t often. I look forward to it.

Right across the street from the front door to this senior highrise is an ice cream stand. I am going over for a treat I think. Bad place to have it when you have someone with a sweet tooth like I have.

Enjoy your weekend.

If we were having coffee, I would be drinking iced tea because I hate coffee and can’t stand this heat. It is slightly cooler right now, but another heatwave is on its way. You may have coffee or tea, whichever you prefer.

If we were having coffee or tea I would tell you that the Lyrica is finally working. I am not dropping into a sudden deep sleep at just any time without warning. The pain in my knees is also less at the trigger points so walking is easier at the moment, but can change at any time.

I spent a day in the Emergency Room again for breathing problems and the swelling in my feet and legs. My Dr’s diagnosis is still waiting. Thinking I might possibly have COPD, not asthma. Medications including a daily water pill are slowly helping me. I can walk more than 8 feet now. I did some clean up around here. I got rid of the trash, the recycles and cleaned out my freezer and tossed it all. Yesterday I managed the laundry.

I would tell you that my daughter is now over 16 weeks pregnant. It is still a rough pregnancy for her and she is 40 now so I imagine it will remain rough even after birth. The ultrasounds are neat. So realistic looking now. She found out she is having another boy and they highlighted that fact on the ultrasound LOL!

I won my NANOWRIMO project this July. I had to lower the goal to 30,000 words as I couldn’t keep up that rate of speed. I am happy.

I would also tell you that Sunday is still brunch with my BFF. We meet every Sunday unless something comes up which isn’t often. I look forward to it. I have decided to make it this Sunday as well. I will see if I can make it to my car with the breathing issues.

Enjoy your weekend.

If we were having coffee or tea I would tell you that the Lyrica started causing a problem, and it isn’t helping either. I had a case of vertigo when I first increased the dose. That was a lousy few days, but the Bonine (Dramamine with Meclizine same thing) that my sister suggested did help with nausea and dizziness. I am still having chronic fatigue and always falling asleep.

My son came back up from NC to NJ the weekend of July 13. I saw him Friday and he stayed over and then he spent the rest of the weekend Saturday and Sunday camping with his friends.

I would tell you that my daughter is now 16 weeks pregnant. It is still a rough pregnancy for her and she is 40 now so I imagine it will remain rough even after birth. The ultrasounds are neat. So realistic looking now. She found out she is having another boy. That makes 3 and they will range in age from 21,13 and 0.

I would also tell you that Sunday is still brunch with my BFF. We meet every Sunday unless something comes up which isn’t often. I look forward to it. I did have to miss it on the weekend of vertigo. I couldn’t drive then.

Enjoy your weekend.

If we were having coffee, I would be drinking iced tea because I can’t stand this heat. You may have coffee or tea, whichever you prefer. If we were having coffee or tea I would tell you that the Lyrica is not causing a problem, but it isn’t helping either. I called my doctor and asked about a stronger dose and I was told to wait until my appointment in 2 weeks. It is getting worse and stopped getting better. I don’t know what is going on.

We are supposed to keep things tidy, but my disability forbids much of that. I pleaded with my daughter to come and help me clean and surprisingly she did and the kids came too and helped.

My grandson who has been in the Marines for almost 2 years has come home for leave from Japan. I got to see him yesterday.

My son is planning on coming back up from NC to NJ the weekend of July 13. I can’t wait to see him.
