Flipping Houses
By Teresa Smeigh 2019
I enjoy watching the shows where they flip houses. There are plenty of them galore on cable tv. Take your pick.
There are some of these programs that show expensive houses, and then on top of that, they spend large amounts of money to restore them. They buy these houses sight unseen at times. They have no idea what they will find inside. There are hoarder’s delights, disgusting messes including animal and human feces, and some with either animals or people living inside.
On the other type of show, the flipping companies bid on houses about to be torn down and rarely spend more than $1000 on them. This makes more sense to me than the ones that spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy and then find a moldy, termite-infested home and have to pay several hundreds of thousands more to fix it. At times even the foundations are cracked.
