diabetes type 2 to type 1

My endocrinologist gave me some surprising and bad news. It seems that type 2 diabetes can get bad enough to become type 1. My body is no longer making its own insulin. He is talking about an insulin pump now.

6 injections in the facet joints – more pain not less, next up a nerve block

I thought one injection was bad, but try 6 at one time and to make it worse, it is worse pain now than before. Now they are talking about deadening my nerves to stop the pain. If only that works. I am having trouble being positive during all this.

Pain, hospital, shocking disclosure

You guys know of my pain, unfortunately the 2nd lumbar epidural did not do much to relieve the pain and I had a strange thing happen: I lost my vision in both eyes and though only a short period of time, ended up at the hospital. (Terrified that I could have been driving,)

They immediately decided that I had a mini-stroke and admitted me and started running tests none of which proved stroke.

As they were finally discharging me, I asked the dr why the ER claimed stroke and admitted me with no signs of it other than a brief loss of vision in both eyes. He told me that when they want to admit someone they find the closest disorder or disease that might fit and admit and run a particular set of tests.

I was angry because they scared my family and I with the thought that I had had a stroke and I didn’t. This has happened before with blood clots and other things. Really stupid if you ask me.

Now I am going to the ophthomalogist to have a complete work up on my diabetes damage and glaucoma pressure to see if one of them is having a problem.

New Year, New Problems

Bankruptcy is ongoing. All these holidays putting things off. I have given two banks the lawyers info.

My Amazon account was hijacked. Doesn’t look like anything was purchased. They got in and changed my email address and password. Their computer techs were able to lock my account and sent me to a page to  change it. Canceled any orders if there were any that weren’t processed. Recent viewings weren’t mine. Seems to be changed now and working under my email address.

I couldn’t have my last lumbar epidural so just was able to schedule one for 4 weeks, The pain is tremendous. Have no choice but to wait. Hopefully won’t have to cancel this one.

Blood Sugars Still Dropping Despite Eating Carbs and Dropping Insulin

I had carbs last night, no shots, but the 34 units of slow acting Tresiba and my sugar was still low fasting. I wonder what part God plays in this. I would love to stop using insulin and be healed of Diabetes which is supposed to be not possible. This sudden drop in my numbers and the lack of need for the insulin is a miracle in itself. Last night I had regular cookies with sugar in them and low carb peanut butter cups plus a bowl of blueberries (fruit so sugar of course) and whipped cream that also contained sugar. And the black tea. Several cups a day.

Does the black tea play a part in this? Is it the daily faith healings? Is is something inside of me?

My sugars this morning were 65 which is low. This is all mighty strange, but so far so good. I would love to stop the needles and even stop pills. I know they say you can heal Diabetes, but you have to admit this is strange and I have added sugar back into my diet, not a lot, not to access, but sugar none-the-less.

Blood Sugars Still Staying Low

Low blood sugars all day til tonight, it was low (50), but I used the glucose tabs and then was so hungry I went crazy. It went up too high. So I had to take a shot. Need to figure out what is happening. Is it the black tea? Is it the healings my dad does on me everyday? Is my body fixing itself? I will have to back down the long acting insulin some and see if that helps.

Black tea and lower blood sugars

I have been drinking tea every day for days now, several cups a day. Last night I couldn’t keep my sugar up. Kept waking up low and had to have carbs without insulin. I am drinking black tea and it does help with sugar control according to research. The only insulin I had was the slow acting and it alone was dropping my blood sugars. No added insulin at meals today and none needed. My sugar levels are low. Not sure what to think. I am still getting daily healings from my dad plus this new research on black tea. Maybe I stumbled on something that will help my diabetes without using a lot of insulin. Black tea has a lot of good side effects according to my research.

Online Dating With Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Online Dating With Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

I am not interested in dating much. The reasons are far and wide.

1.my disorders are many and depending on the activity are beyond my pain and fatigue.

2. I am shy and new people and places scare me.

3. I have been hurt too many times.

I am not looking, but but not giving up completely. I do miss the companionship and support. I am not interested much in sex so that can kill a relationship, but there are others out there looking for companionship only. If it is meant to be, it will be.

Diabetes Chronicles 8 – article against Keto (extremely low carb diets)

First off I want to say, I don’t mind doing this research as it helps me and perhaps you if you have type 2 Diabetes. Just remember I am not a doctor and I cannot vouch for this information. It is just stuff I have learned either over the years or is even new to me.

This article is against Keto (Ketogenic) low carb diets.

I was pushing this diet, but it wasn’t working for me. This article explains why it isn’t a good diet to follow. My son, studied nutrition, also is against the Keto diet, although he says he will support me in what I decide. I recently made the decision to stop it. I am watching my carbs and going low carb, but not following a strict Keto diet and after reading this new article I am rethinking just how bad it might be for me and why it isn’t working for me and like the author says who wants to eat Keto the rest of your life. There has to be a better way just need help with what I should be eating.

Diabetes Chronicles 7 – Plus a helpful article about diabetes and not affording meds

First off I want to say, I don’t mind doing this research as it helps me and perhaps you if you have type 2 Diabetes. Just remember I am not a doctor and I cannot vouch for this information. It is just stuff I have learned either over the years or is even new to me.

People with Diabetes Are Skipping Their Medications to Save Money

Not just seniors have problems affording their diabetes medications. I am 61 and on disability with Medicare and I can’t afford my meds if I lose my extra help through the state. Right now they are paying 100% of my meds. My one insulin is over $3000 for 3 months and over $500 for one month of my long acting insulin. I lose my extra help and I will not be taking any meds and most likely will die earlier. That doesn’t include my other meds.

How is the typical senior or disabled younger person able to afford these meds unless they are on a low income with extra help. So many fall in between the cracks and they have to let the meds go so they can live.
