For visually challenged writers, the image shows a barren landscape against the shadows of distant hills. Bare branches reach towards each other, framing the scene, while shafts of light stream through a golden window in the dark, cloudy skies.
This is the continuation of John and Susan. I have decided to make this a book. Obviously, there will be a different start and even changes to the chapters. I will take this to a certain point to keep your attention while I can, but like the other week when I had to break into this story because the picture didn’t work, it may end at any time although I will try to give you a gist of the story.
The Kids Await The Answers
By Teresa Smeigh 2019
The kids got tired of the stone steps in the rocks, and Oliver refused to go down them, so they decided to go back to their usual haunt. On the way, they passed a sight that showed a view of the sun going down and reaching down from the sky and revealing the barren area in the distance. The kids hurried back to Marshall Pond sure that that was where their parents would look for them.
Everyone was on edge wondering what the story would be. John and Oliver were especially upset as it seemed their parents had pulled quite a stunt and that they were definitely related and most likely twins. Everyone kept telling them they looked like twins, and they certainly looked like the picture each saw in the mirror.
Eventually, both parents arrived and told the gathered children that they needed to talk to their children alone. The others headed for home with a promise of the whole story the next day.
Taking the boys back to JoAnne’s house, everyone tried to calm themselves for this story that had been a long time coming since the boys were already 16 years old. JoAnne made everyone hot chocolate as the nights were getting cooler and she hoped to calm down this situation.
“Well?” both boys prompted getting tired of waiting.
Jack cleared his throat in preparation of starting the story. JoAnne just sat there with a worried look on her face. “Listen to me you two, we always tried to do what we thought was best for the two of you. This could very quickly have turned out that John ended up with me, and Oliver with JoAnne.
As you have probably guessed by now, you two are twins and JoAnne, and I are your parents. What you don’t know and what makes this story all the more unbelievable is that I am a prince and JoAnne was the head maid for the Queen. We couldn’t be seen together, especially once her pregnancy became pronounced. This meant sneaking around to be able to see one another.
