#WEEKENDCOFFEESHARE : Increased pain and exhaustion, can’t do anything.

#WEEKENDCOFFEESHARE : Increased pain and exhaustion, can’t do anything.

Directions from ECLECTICALLI

Weekend Coffee Share is a time for us to take a break out of our lives and enjoy some time catching up with friends (old and new)!

Grab a cup of coffee and share with us! What’s been going on in your life? What are your weekend plans? Is there a topic you’ve just been ruminating on that you want to talk about?

All are welcome! Just add your link to the Linky-List, and be sure to visit others and join in their conversations! The link will be open from Friday, February 8th at 7am (Pacific Time) until Monday, February 11th at 7am (Pacific Time) to give us a good range of “weekend”!

*********************************

If we were having coffee, I would be drinking iced tea because I hate coffee and can’t stand this heat. The heat is really acting up with my asthma and now my air conditioner has broken down and it is still hot and I can’t take the heat. I have a repairman coming on September 9th. You may have coffee or tea, whichever you prefer.

I got a chance to see my dad thanks to my sister. She said if I could make it to the lobby she would bring my dad down. I did, she did and we had a nice visit.

My breathing problems are easier. Still bad, but not as bad.

I would also tell you that Sunday is still brunch with my BFF. We meet every Sunday including this morning unless something comes up, which isn’t often. I look forward to it. Although we did meet my friend had a car accident on the way to the restaurant. She wasn’t hurt thankfully and the car had minor damage.

Enjoy your weekend.

Weekend Writing Prompt #122 – Museum – by Sammi Cox

Weekend Writing Prompt #122 – Museum – by Sammi Cox

Sammi Cox’s Rules:

The challenge is simple: each week you will be given an exact number of words you can use to write a poem or piece of prose.  You can use any format or style you like; go wherever your inspiration takes you.  The only rules are these:

  • your poem/prose must contain this week’s word.  The word does not have to count towards the exact word count total – it can be in the title, or the first letters of the lines of a poem can spell it out – you can be as creative as you want as long as it’s there somewhere.
  • the length of your poem/prose must match the number of words stated in this week’s challenge.  No more.  No less.

*continuation from last weekend and a couple of months worth

 (Last Weekend I wrote)

Rhonda lowered the bag she had been rocking and took out a glass teapot. She closed her eyes and seemed to be thinking about something. The expression on her face was serene, and then suddenly she raised her hand holding the teapot and threw it at the wall.

Everyone jumped, and Linda went back to crooning to something.

“You know Ron this wouldn’t have happened if you had taken me to the museum as you had promised,” Linda said.

“I thought you would like this better and we could have some time together alone,” Ron said.

“Alone?” She said. “We haven’t been alone since we got here and your wife and her retinue arrived right behind us.”

“Sorry Linda,” Connie said, “but I had unfinished business with my husband, so I followed you. You have to understand he is my husband and not yours, and now it is time for him to make a decision as to who he wants. I am not waiting any longer. You are still here in the picture. I am tired of it.”

“Linda, I am sorry, but I do owe it to Connie to try and work it out.”
