SSRI/SNRI Antidepressants for Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

SSRI/SNRI Antidepressants for Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Now they are starting to name quite a few more anti-depressants can help with Fibromyalgia than when I was first diagnosed 8 years ago.

I tried 2 of the 3 drugs that were originally considered to help cure Fibromyalgia. Savella I was violently allergic to and my arms had turned bright red and had huge red, swollen, areas all over them that were starting to blister. Very painful on its own. I gather they would have continued swelling all over my body if I had not stopped.

The Cymbalta helped my Bipolar depression for over a year. I was pretty stable on it, but it did nothing for the Fibromyalgia.

Absolutely none of these suggestions I post that I find on the web have helped me. That DOESN’T mean it won’t help you though. Never pass up a promising chance to help your Fibromyalgia because we are all different.

What Did You Say? by Teresa Smeigh 2019

The noise of the weaving machines was making it difficult to hear what anyone said. Some people learned some form of sign language in order to communicate. The biggest problem, of course, was getting the attention of the technicians who had to refill the weaving material spools. Every time one of the machines had to go down due to lack of material the company lost money.

Therefore, it was imperative that everyone keep track of their materials and let the technician know when they were about to run out so they could be changed in time to not halt production.

The Weekly Smile 03/25/2019 #weeklysmile – changing my infusion set is becoming easier finally

The Weekly Smile 03/25/2019 #weeklysmile – changing my infusion set is becoming easier finally

Well maybe there is hope for me yet. I am finally getting more used to changing the infusion tubing on my insulin pump. I am trying not to think about the fact that they have decided to change the infusion set I am using to something  new. I am hoping it will be easier and no long learning curve. I still follow the directions line by line and picture by picture. BUT doing it without having to call for help is progress. 🙂

Trent’s Rules

What made you smile?

****

Come on, I’m sure you smiled at least once last week.  Why don’t you share it?  I hope you can join in!

Here is list of “rules” and guiding ideas.  If you don’t have time to read it right now, just remember that this is an exercise to spread positivity.  Don’t smile about the misfortune of others.  Don’t smile in a way to excludes others.  Make sure a 12 year old can read it.

And remember, the Smile can be anything, large or small.  Nothing, nothing at all is too small for a Smile!  Sometimes taking time to notice those small, every day smiles is more important than those once in a lifetime huge ones 🙂

To join in, write a post to share your smile and then leave a comment on this post with a link to your smile.  Or, if you prefer, do a pingback to this post (pingback = have a link from your post to this one).   You can post any time until next Sunday evening (to be simple, I will say midnight GMT, which is 7 PM Sunday for me).   Next week I will compile all of the Smiles and do a separate post of them on Monday morning just before the smile.  (I will shoot for around 7 AM EST).

Try to use the hashtag #WeeklySmile when you use Twitter or other social media that uses hashtags. I searched Twitter and found that #weeklysmile had been used only a handful of times back in 2012 and 2013. It hasn’t been used since. So it’s ours! I also registered it on Twubs.

You can use the graphic at the top. It is the official graphic for the event.

Now go out there and find something to smile about! 🙂

“There are days I go in search of the kind, compassionate, loving and beautiful. Despite what we sometimes see on the news, FB and elsewhere, there is much more beauty in the world than ugliness, much more kindness than hate or cruelty. Perhaps we should all have a goal to make at least one person smile every day.”

One-Liner Wednesday – (3/27/19)

One-Liner Wednesday – (3/27/19)

Extremely gusty weather causes my windows to rock in their frames and opens them up to the cold weather, no matter how many times I pull them down and secure them.

Rules from Linda G Hill:

Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”

The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.

3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.

4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!

5. Have fun!

Three Things Challenge: PL41

Three Things Challenge: PL41

Rules from originator:

Welcome to the Three Things Challenge. Every day at 10PM (PST) I will post three seemingly unconnected things that will, hopefully, ignite your muse. You don’t have to use all three things if you don’t want to. There are no restrictions on length, style, genre, or anything. Simply read the prompt, see where your muse takes you, and bring us along for the ride. Use 3TC as a tag if you’d like and link back to this prompt, or post your link in the comments below so others can find you.

Happy Writing! 😀

Today’s prompt: tears, grass, hologram

**************************

Tears streamed down Susie’s face as she sat on the grass and watched the hologram of her boyfriend and what could only be described as a couple making love. Ever since holograms became used in areas besides the work place it was possible to watch what was going on somewhere you weren’t. Someone warned her and she set the hologram up. Sam had no idea that he and Milly were the star of the show.

Anniversary Anyone?

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

Sandy’s husband simply couldn’t remember an important date. Every year, year after year, they would end up fighting over his forgetting whatever date it happened to be. To him it was simply not important.

Sandy tried to ignore every event he would forget, but finally one year she had had enough and shouted at his back, as he left the house, “Ten long years and you can’t remember my birthday or our anniversary.”

Sandy sat there crying into a tissue as she felt so alone. Finally looking up she noticed a small jeweler’s box sitting on the table. Feeling bad for yelling at him she realized that he had remembered their 10-year anniversary. She opened the box and there was a diamond pendant with 10 spelled out in diamonds. Then she remembered that in her haste to put him in his place she realized that she herself had forgotten their tenth anniversary. Now she really cried, feeling so bad for her behavior, when he hadn’t forgotten one of the most important times in their marriage.

Twittering Tales #129 by Kat – 3/26/19

Inspired by Kat at Twittering Tales

The landlords would not allow pets in the apartments so all the residents got birds or small dogs or cats and hung the cages in the alleyway around the wash on the lines. The landlords couldn’t complain since they were technically not in the apartments themselves.

**********265 characters************

Rules from Kat:

Each Tuesday I will provide a photo prompt. Your mission, if you choose to accept the challenge, is to tell a story in 280 characters or less. When you write your tale, be sure to let me know in the comments with a link to your tale. If you would prefer to post your tale in the comments (some people have very specific blog themes but still want to participate), I am happy to post a link to your site when I post your tale in the Round Up.

A final note: if you need help tracking the number of characters in your story, there is a nifty online tool that will count for you at charactercountonline.com.

I will do a roundup each Tuesday, along with providing a new prompt. And if for some reason I missed your entry in the Roundup, as I have occasionally done, please let me know. I want to be sure to include your tale.

Finally, have fun!

And REMEMBER…you have 280 characters (spaces and punctuation included), to tell your tale…and a week to do it. I can’t wait to see what you create this week.
