Weekend Coffee Share is a time for us to take a break out of our lives and enjoy some time catching up with friends (old and new)!

Grab a cup of coffee and share with us! What’s been going on in your life? What are your weekend plans? Is there a topic you’ve just been ruminating on that you want to talk about?

All are welcome! Just add your link to the Linky-List, and be sure to visit others and join in their conversations! The link will be open from Friday February 8th at 7am (Pacific Time) until Monday February 11th at 7am (Pacific Time) to give us a good range of “weekend”!

If we were to have a coffee chat this weekend it would be about the continuing issues with my insulin pump. My last change messed up numerous times and I wasted several reservoirs trying to fill them and of course loss of all the insulin. I don’t know what happened after the great success last time. Tonight I must do it again. I hope I don’t have to call again as the idiot I just talked to after I put the wrong info in and wanted to know if I could correct it. He simply didn’t get what I was saying and he was giving me wrong information and not listening either I don’t think. I was half asleep tonight while inputting dinner’s numbers in and according to him I can’t fix it.

It got up in the 70’s today. Being on the 6th floor I had to turn on my air conditioner to bring down the intense heat. I only have had to turn on the heat this winter maybe 5 times tops. The heat rises and most days the windows are open and the fans on all winter.

I had to call my pain dr every day for a week to get my pain medicine. Both the pharmacy and the pain dr every day sometimes twice a day.

Looking forward to Sunday my weekly brunch with my best friend. Always a relaxing way to unwind. Have a good week.

Three Things Challenge: PL29

Three Things Challenge: PL29

Rules from originator:

Welcome to the Three Things Challenge. Every day at 10PM (PST) I will post three seemingly unconnected things that will, hopefully, ignite your muse. You don’t have to use all three things if you don’t want to. There are no restrictions on length, style, genre, or anything. Simply read the prompt, see where your muse takes you, and bring us along for the ride. Use 3TC as a tag if you’d like and link back to this prompt, or post your link in the comments below so others can find you.

Happy Writing! 😀

Today’s prompt:  merchant, danger, lavender

**************************

Marcie wanted to warn the merchant of the danger surrounding them. The lavender from the shelves of the flower shop was overpowering. She couldn’t think.

The man, who had a gun stuck in her back, signaled his friends to get ready to act. Before they could, Marcie had swiped the lavender plants off the shelf making the merchant turn around and he hadn’t missed the invasion. He had a gun in his hand and had already alerted the police by text.

The police swarmed in at that point. They arrested the guy with his gun in my back, but it seems that the other men weren’t his buddies, but undercover cops watching his every move. They had been on to him and taken his friends out quietly without the leader knowing.

I had to get out of there and away from the smell of lavender.

The Unicorn

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

“I will fly over the rainbow the little unicorn says.” Maria is reading to her little girl.

Looking down at Jilly, she finds her fast asleep. She missed her favorite part of the book.
