Pain doctor can be problematic with narcotics.

I was there on Wednesday and she told me that she had electronically sent it through and I could pick it up on the way home. (They now send them electronically just like regular scripts).

I didn’t go as the weather was just so bad I wanted to just get home. So the next day after a doctor appointment I stopped at the pharmacy. No prescription so I called from there. I was told by the office that the prescription hadn’t gone through and the doctor would send it later. I asked them to do it now since I was already in the pharmacy. NO! Okay so as life would have it on Friday I forgot. By the time I remembered it was past closing time. So this morning, Saturday, I called the pharmacy before leaving, still no narcotics prescription. So I called the doctor’s office to leave a message with the answering company.

Now I just remembered that last month I had taken Morphine for a week and then switched back to percocets because it didn’t work. So when I looked at the prescription bottle it was dated 2/8/19. So they wouldn’t have filled it back then anyhow. I wondered why I had so many left that I wasn’t close to running out. So the prescription still should have gone through and they would have held it to the 8th and filled it then.

BUT they still screwed up so another call to the doctor on Monday. I go through some kind of problem every month with them although this one was partly my though since I didn’t realize I had the wrong date. I was used to every 30 days and that week of Morphine messed me up.

Grooving to the Music

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

“Corey where are you,” Nancy was getting worried now. She had lost sight of her 2-year-old son and she’d never forgive herself if something happened to him.

The music in the next aisle was getting annoying and she wanted to tell them to turn it down. Finally, after going up and down all the aisles behind her she headed over to tell the music players to please turn it down. By now people were clapping. What was going on over there?

As she came around the corner heading to the offenders, she noticed a little boy dancing wildly to the music. Corey was having the time of his life dancing to the music. She should have started her search there as she knew Corey loved music and to dance.

Grabbing him up in her arms she started to yell at him, but the audience was cheering, and he had been so cute. How do you yell at that?

She would wait to later and try to explain to him about how he can’t just wander off. The audience was still cheering and clapping as she walked away with Corey.

Three Things Challenge: PL23

Three Things Challenge: PL23

Rules from originator:

Welcome to the Three Things Challenge. Every day at 10PM (PST) I will post three seemingly unconnected things that will, hopefully, ignite your muse. You don’t have to use all three things if you don’t want to. There are no restrictions on length, style, genre, or anything. Simply read the prompt, see where your muse takes you, and bring us along for the ride. Use 3TC as a tag if you’d like and link back to this prompt, or post your link in the comments below so others can find you.

Happy Writing! 😀

Today’s prompt: charisma, guacamole, rose

John’s charisma was about exciting as a bowl of guacamole. Susan was more interested in the rose he had handed her.

The Book

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

Tilly kept pulling all the books out of the bookcase and piling them on the couch.

Mike entered the room and started grumbling as she had piled the books on his favorite chair as well, and it was time for the game to start.

“Haven’t you done that enough?”

“I’m looking for my favorite book and can’t find it anywhere.”

Mike looked innocent, knowing full well that the book was under the bed where she would never think to look. He was tired of her reading about how to fix their relationship.
