I never could float while young

don’t push me under

Questions:

What’s the first thing you notice about a person? Being obese myself that seems to be something that I notice in others and wishing I were thin if they happen to be thin.

What three habits do you feel would improve someone’s life? 1. Physical fitness, I now find at age 62, is important to follow throughout your life. I would be in better shape if I hadn’t stopped moving when my arthritis first started hurting in my 20’s. 2. Get enough sleep and not cat nap like I do. I am always exhausted. 3. Learning to eat nutritiously at an early age and make it a habit. My bad eating habits have caused me significant medical issues.

What takes up too much of your time?   Would you stop that if you could? Sleeping or trying to avoid my life. Wish I could stop that, but due to Bipolar Disorder that isn’t going anywhere. I must live with it.

Cookies (biscuits to those elsewhere), pastries, pie or cake?   If not, what does your sweet tooth crave? I love cheesecake or vanilla cake with vanilla whipped cream icing.

Gratitude?  Are You Happy?  If so, why?  If not, why not? No and again I blame most of that on my Bipolar Disorder. Whether I am manic or depressed it is still a form of depression and hence I am not a happy person.

The Weekly Smile 03/04/2019 #weeklysmile – insulin pump

The Weekly Smile 03/04/2019 #weeklysmile – insulin pump

Well I didn’t start out smiling as I received my insulin pump and had to learn how to do it. i had second thoughts and panic attacks. But the company trainer put me at ease and walked me through it and it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Now I just made the change of the tubing, inserter and reservoir (holds the insulin) and I did have to call for help and someone helped me walked through it because it was too much to learn at once. It’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks, but this old dog has to remember that she is stronger than she thinks. Using a pump is easier than giving myself 4 injections a day as I only have to change the inserter needle that inserts a plastic canulla under the skin for the tubing every 3 days (72 hours). 🙂

Trent’s Rules

What made you smile?

****

Come on, I’m sure you smiled at least once last week.  Why don’t you share it?  I hope you can join in!

Here is list of “rules” and guiding ideas.  If you don’t have time to read it right now, just remember that this is an exercise to spread positivity.  Don’t smile about the misfortune of others.  Don’t smile in a way to excludes others.  Make sure a 12 year old can read it.

And remember, the Smile can be anything, large or small.  Nothing, nothing at all is too small for a Smile!  Sometimes taking time to notice those small, every day smiles is more important than those once in a lifetime huge ones 🙂

To join in, write a post to share your smile and then leave a comment on this post with a link to your smile.  Or, if you prefer, do a pingback to this post (pingback = have a link from your post to this one).   You can post any time until next Sunday evening (to be simple, I will say midnight GMT, which is 7 PM Sunday for me).   Next week I will compile all of the Smiles and do a separate post of them on Monday morning just before the smile.  (I will shoot for around 7 AM EST).

Try to use the hashtag #WeeklySmile when you use Twitter or other social media that uses hashtags. I searched Twitter and found that #weeklysmile had been used only a handful of times back in 2012 and 2013. It hasn’t been used since. So it’s ours! I also registered it on Twubs.

You can use the graphic at the top. It is the official graphic for the event.

Now go out there and find something to smile about! 🙂

“There are days I go in search of the kind, compassionate, loving and beautiful. Despite what we sometimes see on the news, FB and elsewhere, there is much more beauty in the world than ugliness, much more kindness than hate or cruelty. Perhaps we should all have a goal to make at least one person smile every day.”
